Synthetic oil "Shinsei" for diesel engine
The chlorine content of this oil is reduced to less than one-tenth of the generally available products. It also extends the useful life of diesel engines and reduces the frequency of oil changes.
Eco diesel engine oils "Kaisei" and "Suisei"
These oils can be used with DPF
2 (conforming to DH-2
3) and feature heat and wear resistance.
Fuel gas engine oil "Cosmo CNG Oil"
Used specifically in natural and LP gas-fueled automobiles, this oil has superior heat and wear resistance as well as high-temperature cleaning performance.
It also extends the useful life of the gas-fueled engines and reduces the frequency of oil changes.

Biodegradable lubricant "Cosmo Terra Series"
These oils are decomposed into water and CO
2 by microorganisms and obtained the "Eco Mark" designation by the Japan Environment Association.
They are used for port-related equipment, in construction, and agricultural facilities, as well as for railcars, outboard motors, and chainsaws.
Power-saving hydraulic oil "Cosmo Super Epoch UF46*" "Cosmo Super Epoch ECO32/46"
Featuring zero zinc content, a high ignition point, and wear resistance, this oil makes it possible to save electric power and to reduce industrial waste by prolonging hydraulic oil's life.

"Cosmo ECO Gear EPS Series" power-saving gear oil for industrial use
Industrial-use gear oil blended with organic molybdenum E.P. Molybdenum forms a coating on the gear surface to realize power savings by reducing friction that occurs when shifting gears.

Concrete protector and strengthener "Ashford Formula"
This coating agent extends the useful life of concrete floors and prevents the generation of dust. It is used in transportation hubs, home centers, factories, etc.
Environmentally friendly battery "Eco Dyna"
This battery was developed based on the concepts of environmental friendliness, high performance, long life, and safe driving. To ensure its environmental friendliness, it consists mainly of a recycled resin, lead, and paper. The purchase of this product results in a contribution to the Cosmo Oil Eco Card Fund for the support of environmental preservation activities.
Paper with less environmental impact (Kasadaka paper)
Kasadaka paper has less environmental impact compared with recycled paper and reduces the use of pulp resources by 15% at the time of printing. The new paper is now used to produce our 2008 calendar, thereby realizing resource savings and the reduction of CO
2.

This fuel additive was developed based on the concepts of helping to preserve the environment and improving cleanliness and fuel efficiency.
A cleaning agent works to clean inside the engine and restore it to a like-new condition, while an industry-first friction reduction agent (FM agent) improves fuel efficiency. A portion of sales proceeds also is donated to the Cosmo Oil Eco Card Fund.
It is truly an eco-friendly fuel additive. "eco-D fine" is also available for diesel vehicles.

This is an absorption/adsorption unit for recovering hydrocarbon vapor such as gasoline.
Utilizing our proprietary "Cosmo Adsorption Method," the recovery unit collector is used at many petroleum terminals owned by Cosmo Oil and other companies.
VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) recovery unit (Cosmo Engineering Co., Ltd.)
The technology for designing the hydrocarbon vapor recovery is applied to this VOC adsorption equipment.
Thanks to its high recovery rate, safety, and space saving properties, it is used at chemical, printing, and drug manufacturing facilities.
Excess Sludge Reduction Unit (Cosmo Engineering Co., Ltd.)
Adding this unit to existing activated sludge facilities can reduce the amount of excess sludge.
To date, it has reduced surplus sludge disposed of as industrial waste by 90%, thus contributing to the reduction of waste.

Cleaning agent "New Safezol" (Cosmo Eco Support Co., Ltd.)
This is a cleaning agent for industrial use that can be used as a substitute for chlorofluorocarbon or trichloroethane to prevent poisoning by organic solvents because it contains none of the substances forbidden by the PRTR Law or other regulations.
"ECOWILL" home-use LPG Fuel Cell System
We supply LPG, clean energy similar to natural gas having little impact on the environment.
To increase LPG demand, we are developing and promoting advanced LPG vehicles and simple frame LPG stations as well as LPG cogenerators and LPG fuel cell systems for home use.
We will develop other clean energies, such as DME and LNG, to steadily supply a wide range of environmentally friendly gas energy products.
Home-use LPG engine cogeneration system* "ECOWILL"
"ECOWILL" is a clean LPG cogenerator that reduces the primary energy consumption by about 22.5% by taking advantage of heat generated during operation for heating water or rooms. It also reduces CO
2 emissions, that cause global warming by about 33%.
The energy utilization factor is about 87.5%, over twice that of conventional power generating systems.
We will sell this system to LPG dealers as a special product that contributes to environmental preservation.

Aromatic Extraction Unit
This product is used as a base material for a neutrino detector at "Kam LAND," a neutrino measurement facility where the Tohoku University team is heading up research.
Effective use of benzene
We obtain benzene separated by a benzene eliminating equipment at each refinery, and then upgrade it to raw material for chemical products through an aromatic extraction unit.
Environmentally conscious solvents
We manufacture various kinds of solvents that have little impact on the environment, such as isohexane (aerosols or soldering flux), methylcyclohexane (printing ink solvent for food packages), and SWACLEAN 150 (ink solvent), as well as chlorine-free and low aromatic solvents for cleaners or paints.
